Internship – Dairy MSc student – Arinco
The purpose of the internship is to provide the student with practical, experience-based insight into daily operations, tasks, challenges and improvement opportunities within AFI’s ingredient production site at Arinco.
The intern will work with colleagues across production, quality and engineering to understand processes, contribute to selected tasks or project activities, and apply theoretical knowledge in a real industrial setting.
The internship aims to strengthen the student’s understanding of dairy processing operations, production flow and technical problem-solving, while delivering value to the organization through participation in relevant operational and project-oriented assignments.
The student will gain broad exposure to the role and responsibilities of a dairy engineer in a modern production environment.
Outline of Internship Activities – Overall Structure
(to be agreed between the company and the intern)
- Introduction to company and production processes – approx. 2 weeks
- Operational and project-related activities – approx. 18 weeks
- Project work: participation in technical or optimization projects, with the possibility of exposure to commissioning‑type activities if relevant.
- Operational and process tasks: participation in daily process and optimization activities, including CIP improvements, SOP alignment and assessments of unit utilization where relevant.
- Quality-related activities: participation in selected QA or microbiology-related tasks.
- Other activities: additional relevant tasks agreed between intern and company.
